I decided I would just post a blog entry about who I am rather than adding a whole page dedicated for it!
Hello! My name is Emily Wolford. I’m an aspiring elementary teacher located in central Indiana. I’m an undergraduate student at Ball State University. βIn May 2022 I will graduate with a major in Elementary Education and a concentration of mathematics. I’m also minoring in African American Studies. I have a huge passion for math and numbers and I love learning about different cultures and traditions around the world. Education policy is also an area I have extensive research in.

βI have 10+ years of experience teaching children (4 years teaching academically). I have seven years of Taekwondo experience, with many of those spent as an assistant teacher for my Dojang. I was responsible for teaching children as young as 4 and adults up to 65 years old. Through several years of training, I recieved my first and second degree black belts and earned my world certifications as well. Specific experience in 2017 includes my time spent as a volunteer Zoo Camp leader for the Indianapolis Zoo. I spent my year volunteering for various activities at the Zoo as well as a handful of responsibilities with my campers.
At Ball State I participated in the Make-A-Wish foundation club, the Best Buddies program, and served as President of The National Society of Collegiate Scholars. I am an active member of Alpha Chi Omega and maintain good standing within my sorority. I’m so excited to finish college and start my career as a future elementary school educator! I can not wait to meet my students and create such a fun and inclusive classroom environment for them. ββ
